National Hero of Armenia
The highest title of "National Hero of Armenia" is awarded for exclusive services of nation-wide importance rendered to the Republic of Armenia in the spheres of the defense of the state and the strengthening of law and order, as well as and for the creation of significant values.
Persons awarded with the highest title of "National Hero of Armenia" are given the Order of Motherland, which is carried on the left side of the chest.

Orders
The Order of the "Battle Cross"
is awarded for exclusive courage, self-sacrifice and skill shown during the defense of the motherland and the ensuring of security.
The "Order of Honor"
is awarded for significant services in the spheres of the defense of the state and the protection of national interests of the Republic of Armenia aimed at the consolidation of independence and democracy, for considerable contribution to the establishment, strengthening and development of friendship with the Republic of Armenia, as well as for the maintenance of peace between nations.
The Order "St. Mesrop Mashtots"
is awarded for significant achievements in the spheres of the development of the economy, natural and social sciences, inventions, culture, education, healthcare and social activity, as well as for activity, promoting the development of the scientific-technical, economic and cultural cooperation of the Republic of Armenia with foreign countries.
The Order "Vardan Mamikonian"
is awarded for exclusive courage, displayed when carrying out military duties to the Motherland, as well as for significant services provided for the construction of the military and the securing of the combat training of the forces.
